Focus on what you want…

Most of us do know what we want, that’s not the problem.  But when we tell someone what we want, we can’t help but focus on the negative situation we’re trying to change!  So instead of telling your friend, "I want a beautiful new home near the sea" you say "I can’t stand this tiny home in this noisy city!"  Instead of saying, "I want to double my income this year" you say "I’m fed up of scraping by and just making ends meet!"

Can you feel the difference in energy between the statements?

What we tend to focus on is what we already have that we don’t want any more.  We are exceptionally clear that we don’t want the lousy boss, or the pile of bills, but instead of focusing on having a new boss or being self-employed with a healthy income, we keep talking about the old stuff we want to get rid of from our lives.

There are several ways to be more conscious about focusing on what you want instead of what you don’t want.  They include:

(1) Giving your undivided attention to what you want.

(2) Writing a gratitude list.

(3) Focusing on anything that makes you feel better.

(4) Being positive and expecting what you want will happen.

(5) Using EFT for your resistant thoughts and feelings.

Are you using any of these tools?
Let this list to help you get inspired and use it with joy every day.

"Even though I don’t know how to give my attention to what I want, but only on what I don’t want, I accept who I am and how I feel right now."

"Even though it’s hard to focus on what I want, I’m willing to imagine that what I want is already here."

Eyebrow: "I keep focusing on what I don’t want."
Side of Eye: "I don’t know how to change my focus."
Under Eye: "I don’t feel good about what I have."
Nose: "I keep focusing on what I don’t want."
Chin: "I don’t know how to change my focus."
Collarbone: "I definitely want to change things in my life."
Under Arm: "I don’t like where I am."
Head: "I don’t like what I have right now."

Now for the positive focus on the solution

Eyebrow: "I choose to focus on what I want in my life."
Side of Eye: "I can start to change my focus right now."
Under Eye: "I know what I do want."
Nose: "I feel excited thinking about what I do want."
Chin: "I’m going to let go of what I don’t like…"
Collarbone: "I can start to change my focus right now."
Under Arm: "I feel better already."
Head: "I feel great when I imagine what I want in my life."

Important note: While EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it is considered to be
in the experimental stage and thus practitioners and the public must
take complete responsibility for their use of it.
