Self Acceptance

The issue of self acceptance comes up very often with people while using EFT, especially when I ask them to make the Set-up Statement;

Even though I have this problem I deeply and completely love and accept myself”. They feel this is not true and feel uncomfortable or refuse to say it. They are right, how can they say they accept themselves when they clearly do not?

You can test this by asking yourself: I DEEPLY AND COMPLETELY LOVE AND ACCEPT MYSELF”

When you say this statement how does it make you feel?

What words come into your head?

What messages you are receiving?

There can be underlying issues such as; Guilt, No self confidence, Low self worth, Non deserving, I’ve done things I’m not proud of…..and that’s just a few.

Write these things down and use the following Tapping example.

Of course everyone`s issues are different. Being in tune to what your body is telling you and following the chain of feelings and thoughts which will unfold, it will eventually lead you to the cause.

If you are new to EFT, this would be a good place to start.

Karate chop –

Even though I don’t love myself, because I feel guilty….I accept myself no matter what.

Even though I don’t accept myself because I’ve done things I’m not proud of….. I choose to love myself and accept how I feel.

Even though I don’t deserve to love myself, I forgive myself for feeling this way

 

Eye brow - I don’t love myself
Side of Eye -I don’t even accept myself
Under Eye I don’t deserve to love my self
Under Nose I feel …Guilty…
Chin – I don’t love myself
Collarbone – I don’t even accept myself
Under Arm – I don’t deserve to love my self
Top of Head I feel …Guilty…

You can tap on what comes up or continue with another round.

Eye brow – I Know I don’t love my self
Side of Eye – And I forgive myself
Under Eye – I know I don’t accept myself
Under Nose – And I forgive myself
Chin - I know I don’t deserve to love myself
Collarbone – And I forgive myself
Under Arm – I know I don’t accept myself
Top of Head – I completely forgive myself

Now finish with a positive round.

Eye brow – I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself
Side of Eye– I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself
Under Eye– I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself
Under Nose– I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself
Chin– I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself
Collarbone– I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself
Under Arm– I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself
Top of Head– I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself

Repeat these a few times. Forgiving yourself can be very powerful. It may trigger off other emotions, which you can follow with EFT.

Remember, be in tune to what your body is telling you, if it resonates with a negative feeling, tap in it!
